Italy in September
I recently returned from a 9-day visit to Italy: Florence, Tuscany, and the Amalfi Coast. The European scenery was breathtaking. (I’m showing just a few thumbnails in this post—please view my entire ITALY gallery of photos here.)
Capri was the most spectacular place I’ve ever been to, and by chance we met up with some old friends there, which made it even better. We spent a day piloting a boat around all the tiny inlets and grottos, visiting off-the-beaten-path fishing villages and even some crumbling old castellos.
A really special few days were spent at a small family-run winery in Tuscany. Check out the 200-year-old bottles of wine in the racks, left by previous tenants.
The family let me help with the winemaking, and I captured that moment in time with this photo of a cascade of fresh red wine.
Ever on the hunt for beautiful textures and reflections, I found the kind of dramatic saturated colors I was looking for in some stunning pieces of Venetian glass.
The food was amazing on this trip, and the wine even better. Italy is simply a little slice of heaven.
Please take a moment to view my ITALY gallery where you can view all 60 of my photos in a large-size slideshow, and leave a message to let me know what you think.
